About Us
Our History
Life Coaching Organization (LICO) was officially registered as a national non-governmental organization in 2021, but its story began much earlier — in 2011 — with a grassroots community initiative known as NEKIMAMA (Neema Kikundi cha Mapishi, Lishe Bora na Maendeleo ya Jamii). This humble beginning was rooted in a vision to create meaningful change within local communities, starting with empowering women and youth through small-scale projects such as nutrition programs, cooking groups, and skills development workshops.What began as a small, community-based effort steadily grew in ambition and scope. Over time, the dedication, commitment, and passion of the members attracted more volunteers, partners, and beneficiaries. The consistent positive impact of their activities, coupled with an increasing demand for broader services, inspired the formal transformation of NEKIMAMA into Life Coaching Organization (LICO) .
Since its formal registration, LICO has significantly expanded its reach and areas of intervention. Today, it engages in a wide range of programs that address both immediate needs and long-term development goals. These include supporting orphans and vulnerable children, empowering youth and women through vocational training and entrepreneurship programs, promoting health and nutrition awareness, and spearheading initiatives aimed at poverty reduction, education, and community resilience.With established operational offices in Dar es Salaam and Karagwe, Kagera, LICO works hand-in-hand with community leaders, local and international partners, and dedicated volunteers to create lasting change. Guided by its core values of compassion, service, and empowerment, the organization continues to advocate for inclusive and sustainable development across Tanzania, ensuring that marginalized groups have access to opportunities, resources, and the tools they need to transform their lives.
Our Plan
All donations will go to support 3 main problems: food, education, health. Our project is working with troubled kids in Africa more than 5 years and we’ve achieved great successes.
- 40% of funds go to food
- 35% for Educational Funds
- 29% for medical care

HEALTH SERVICES
LICO (Life Coaching Organization) is making a meaningful impact in the health sector by promoting inclusive care. They support disabled individuals with assistive devices, healthcare, and education, fostering independence and inclusion. Unassisted mothers benefit from maternal health services, skills training, and essential supplies—empowering them to care for their families. These efforts not only uplift individuals but also strengthen the entire community, promoting empathy, resilience, and long-term development.
